Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is located in Robbinsville, NC. This is a fun and easy hike for all ages. If you complete both loops it’s a little over 2 miles long. The biggest trees can be seen on the upper loop.

This past weekend, our family decided to camp at Lake Powhatan which is located in the Bent Creek area in the Pisgah National Forest. We had never been here before and I was excited to check it out!
After two weeks of snow and rain, we had a beautiful day. We decided to enjoy the day outdoors by heading out on a hiking adventure. We weren’t sure exactly where we were going at first, but I knew I wanted to hit a part of the Appalachian trail.
Every year we have four seasons
Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter
Spring time brings the bunnies out
Flowers start to bloom
now is the perfect time to camp, and say woo whoo til noon!
This past Saturday was a pretty day. My family decided to take a walk down to our campsite. I decided to ride my bike. I got so far and quickly realized that there was so much mud my bike kept sliding and stopping. (If only I had a fat bike).
